DISCOVER LEONIDIO
SIGHTS
Leonidio and the wider South Kynouria region possess a strong historical and cultural identity. Traditional settlements, religious monuments, and architectural ensembles reveal the long human presence and close relationship with the environment.
From Prastos to Leonidio lies Tsakonia — a region with distinct cultural heritage. The Tsakonian dialect, one of the oldest living dialects in Europe, is still spoken today and consciously passed on to younger generations.
The landmarks are located close to one another and easily combined into daily routes, allowing visitors to understand the place through history, architecture, and everyday life.
